You should lodge a complaint if you believe a testing officer has:
- acted inappropriately
- incorrectly failed or terminated your practical test.

Step one:
VTNZ conduct practical driver tests on behalf of the NZ Transport Agency. If you would like to dispute a test result or complain about a testing officer employed by VTNZ, you can complete the driver licensing customer inquiry form and send it to the contact details listed on the form.

Complaint about a bus, taxi or shuttle driver, transport company or operator
Contact the NZ Police if your complaint involves criminal activity. Otherwise:
Step one: Contact the company (bus, taxi, shuttle or transport company) directly to raise your complaint.
Step two: If you're not satisfied with the results of any internal investigation, outline your complaint in writing and send to your nearest NZTA Access and Use Regional Manager at either of the four following NZTA offices:
